The deposit guarantee system ensures that if a bank goes bankrupt, the money in your bank account is guaranteed up to $ 100,000 per account holder per bank. The money in your business account also falls under the deposit guarantee scheme. The balance on your business account is covered up to $ 100,000. the deposit guarantee scheme (DGS) is a scheme of the Dutch bank. A bank falls under the DGS if the bank has a license from De Nederlandsche Bank.

Please note: if you have a private account with the same bank in addition to the business account, the credits will be added together.
A sole proprietorship is seen as a natural person, not a legal person. In addition to sole proprietorships, all legal forms can also appeal to the DGS when a bank goes bankrupt. Examples of legal entities are a private company (BV), public limited company (NV), association and foundation.
