Sahdev Dirdo, a 10-year-old boy who rose to fame after a video of him singing the song “Bachpan ka Pyaar” went viral on the internet, was injured on Tuesday when the motorcycle he was riding a passenger skidded on the road to Sukma, in Chhattisgarh. district, police said.
The accident took place around 6:30 p.m. in the Shabri Nagar area here and Dirdo, who was not wearing a helmet, fell and suffered a serious head injury, while the runner suffered minor bruises, said the Superintendent of Sukma, Sunil Sharma.
The boy was rushed to the district hospital and, after preliminary treatment, was transferred to Jagdalpur Medical College hospital, Sharma added.
Alerted to the accident, Sukma Vineet collector Nandanwar and Sharma went to the district hospital and inquired about her condition. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel called on Nandanwar to provide the best medical assistance to Dirdo as soon as possible, according to an official statement.
