Dr. Dre has performed unreleased music for legendary hip-hop artists

Freshly linked to Kanye West on “Glory,” a new song that premiered last week in a Beats by Dre commercial, Dr. Dre seems to have more new music on the horizon.

On Monday, the Diggin ‘in the Crates legend Diamond D took to Instagram to reveal he had heard new, previously unreleased material from Dre.

“@drdre played about 2 hours of unreleased heat rocks for me and @xzibit today,” Diamond D captioned a photo of him and Dre in the studio. “#ondeck is yelling at @ focus3dots.”

The news comes just a week after another hip-hop legend, Grandmaster Flash, teased some never-before-seen music by Dre.

“I get a call from one of my heroes he invites me to the CRIB he takes me to the STUDIO he played me a project that will change the situation !!” Flash wrote in an Instagram post.

Of course, fans will just have to wait and see if and when Dr. Dre decides to drop a full offer. The 56-year-old mogul hasn’t released a studio album to speak of since 2015 Compton, which arrived 16 years after her critically acclaimed ’99 second album 2001.

In recent years, Dre has continued to produce for top talent, contributing to tracks for Anderson’s 2018 Project .Paak. Oxnard and Eminem’s latest album, 2020’s Music to be murdered by.
