ABI panel. Last month, I had the honor of speaking on a panel at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Spring 2022 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. The topic of our panel was the monetization of intellectual property in bankruptcies and restructurings.

• The panel covered a range of issues, including a historical perspective on intellectual property and how corporate bankruptcies have impacted technology development, the impact of licensing on intellectual property sales in the event of bankruptcy, due diligence issues in distressed intellectual property sale transactions, and cross-border implications in certain intellectual property transactions.
